…..but I love to find visual inspiration for my heroes and heroines. Most of them are featured in my book trailers.  This one is my hero, Jonah Spiegler, for “Losing Command”, the fourth book I’m writing for the Command Series.  He’s very, very yummy.

I very rarely have characters who resemble famous celebrites except for Elise from “Regaining Command”.  When she first started nattering at me, she told me she looked kind of like Pauley Perrette from NCIS.

Elise was nicknamed “Goth Barbie” by a nasty, uptight man from “Resisting Command”.  I loved Elise.  She was just like the part Perrette plays on NCIS, the perky but dark Abby.  She’s smart, a little geeky, but way cool.  She was a blast to write and her story with Donny is one of my favorites so far.  It’s coming soon from Liquid Silver Books.

   I, uh, go absolutely Donald Duck crazy if I spot a photo of a real life someone who is my fantasy someone. And yeah, this sounds fun and quirky, but it’s really not. It’s DISTURBING. It totally ruins life as I know it.

   Just sayin’.

   It’s always interesting hearing how other writers flesh out their characters. I know a lot of writers like visual inspiration, but mine just run about inside my head, creating havoc.

   I’m really looking forward to Donny’s story.

   Andi, I always get more emotional stuff about my characters than their looks. Often, I don’t really have a clear picture of someone in my head.
   My characters also create havoc in my head, Shelley. Donny’s story was a blast to write. I hope he’s as much fun to read.
