This week we’re blogging about things that annoy the crap out of us. Why? Because the fire alarm is going off in the freakin’ library as I type this. And it pisses me off. They’ve already determined that nothing is wrong. It’s been going off for almost 45 minutes and they keep telling us they’ll turn in off in a few minutes.
Yeah. Right.
They better darn well have it off soon because I’m giving tours of the library and teaching today.
This is one of the true pains in the ass of being under construction. Any day, you might walk in, and not be able to work for the day because there’s a damn alarm going off for hours at a time.

In honor of my current hatred for alarms, I have Nickelback blasting in my office with the door closed. It almost drowns out the obnoxious alarm. Almost, but not quite. Damn it.

The server has been down at my school all morning. Aaarrgghhhh! It’s finally back up. I’ve felt cut off from the rest of the world all day. Couldn’t check or send email…IM…get to my personal files stored on the server…Nothing!!! Drives me nuts when it does that.

They did that last week! They decided to transition to a new server on a weekday so that everything including the website went down. I mean, they couldn’t do that on a Saturday when there are no classes??

My new heater came on automatically this morning…..and set the smoke alarm off.
