And it made me very sad.
My cable company hasn’t said what happened, but there was an outage which sprawled from one end of the city to another. Not in the city, of course, but all the little towns on the northern outskirts of the city. Including me.
I’m back now, with some relief, but man…Internet life went on without me. wth is that all about?
Anyway, I’m going to give away a book. A book I’d really rather keep for my very own self, frankly. Mom always told me the best gifts are the ones you’d rather get yourself.

Isn’t that beautiful? It has fairies, too. I thought I’d make the question really hard. Then no one would enter, and I could have the book. Then I felt bad. (And was maybe accused of evilness) so I’m going to make it easy for you instead…
In the comments section…tell me a good YA book you recently read. Or. A good book about fairies. (um. You’ll be astonished to learn that people who brag on MY books will be entered in the draw twice, right? )

I just read The Silver Kiss, by Annette Curtis Klause (1992). I stumbled on it by accident, and really loved it. It’s a beautiful, honest teenage vampire tale.
I don’t have a fairy rec. for you, but I’m shopping around a book about fairies at this moment, so maybe I will in the future!
Off to check out yours…

I just finished Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and enjoyed it very much. I would love to read a book with fairies in it.

YA books: “I Wanna be your Joey Ramone”=full of awesome and currently reading “Thirteen Reasons Why”=full of fabulous
Fairy Books: “Between Good and Aeval” by some chick, was really good. And Karen Moning has a series that I can’t remember the name of, but they were also good.

Recently read The Second Virginity of Suzy Green by Sara Hantz. And I’ve heard from a very special editor that Dayna Hart’s books are superior to none in the fairy category.

I am reading a YA book about fairies called “Heretic” that I found at the used bookstar. Well it’s about a girl who lived with fairies and then comes back after 3 centuries away from the mortal realm and meets a catholic girl accused of Heresy under Queen Elizabeth. I haven’t finished it but it’s very good so far.
I must check out your books since you write about fairies.

Can I just say a group of fairies who make sure married women are satisfied is right up my alley. I must have Between Good and Aeval by Dayna Hart!

Hmmmm…ok…
Lyric Jame’s books leave you wondering.
Who Wants to Date a Superhero? by R.G. Alexander looks scrumptious.
Jennifer Leeland’s books will tie one up for a bit.
A Passion Draconic by Elizabeth Drake looks inviting.
Loribelle Hunts’ books will take a bite out of your day.
Treasured by Crystal Jordan looks adventurous
And Dayna Hart make one want to visit Between Good and Evil.
Does this mean I get multiple entries??

How To Ditch Your Fairy by Justine Larbalestier is one, Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier.
Both equally entertaining.

Damn I see someone already mentioned the book I was going to say, How To Ditch Your Fairy! I received an early copy for review and loved it. It was so cute. I also love the same author’s (Justine Larbalestier’s) Magic or Madness Trilogy which is also YA. They’re really great reads. I devoured them in just a day or so.
I also enjoyed reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and look foward to reading all the others. And I love the Harry Potter series of course. I have Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy Series in my TBR pile as well as PC Cast and Kristin Cast’s books.
I’ve heard alot of great thinks about Wicked Lovely. What a beautiful cover too! I’d love to win this one.

I love reading YA and Teen books. They make me feel young and fresh. Not that I am old!
But still they have a feel that the adult books can’t duplicate.
Here are a few I love:
* Daisy Meadows’ Pet Fairies series
* I Was a Teenage Fairy by Francesca Lia Block
* all Meg Cabot’s books
I do have a long list of my favs in teen books and would love any recommendations, too. I love the genre!

I’ve never read any YA books or books with fairies but I sure would love to try one! Wicked Lovely sounds so good and I would love to read it.
