I’m not skeered of the boogeyman

By Rowan Larke | August 22, 2008

We’re supposed to talk about what we’re afraid of. I really want to post my silly fears. Like the one when I was younger where I was afraid of snakes coming up out of the toilet. Or how my oldest son, the one who wants to be a writer, has a lot of these same fears.

Instead…I’m going to admit I”m not really afraid of anything…I’m just…stressy about everything. I live in a constant state of near-freakitude over money and bills, whether I’m raising my kids okay, whether my house is ever going to be renovated, whether I’m going to ever finish writing this book or that book, and if I do will anyone publish it, and if they do will anyone want to read it and…

So my head is this lovely place full of story ideas and my stomach is full of lead-winged butterflies.

More than you needed to know, eh?
