Are we done yet?

Can I just say this is not my favorite time of the year? The stores are crazy, my kids are crazy, and I’m cold. I really really hate being cold. (Yes, Crys, I know I’m gonna be cold in SF next summer.) Usually all I do in December is to try to survive the madness. This year I’m behind so I’m actually trying to write through it. That just sounds so innocent doesn’t it? I’m behind What I should have said is I slacked off the last couple of months so now I’m scrambling to catch up. :P During the holiday season. Which I thinks makes me a special kind of crazy, I think.

What about y’all? Do you normally take a break during the holidays or do you keep writing? Or do you find yourself in my situation and have to write to catch up like it or not?

    I’m playing catch up.

Actually, I’m playing ‘get ahead on a few thousand projects before the baby comes and time becomes something I’ve ‘heard of’, but don’t believe actually exists…’

I actually can imagine I’ll put the laptop down for Christmas Day. Maybe.

For the last leg of 2007 I’m going to edit one book during Christmas break that I needed distance from in order to do it right. So I’m behind by my standards. I don’t think I’m going to finish the WIP I started 2 weeks ago. But who knows I might want to challenge myself to see how many more words I can write before I collaspe from exhausation.
