For those in the good ol’ U. S. of A. — happy 4th of July! 
So, what’re y’all doing to celebrate? (Like most of us are really “celebrating”; any excuse to party!) The husband creature and I were supposed to go over to his folks for a “family cookout.” We decided to blow it off, as neither of us particularly feel like putting on the pretty faces and dealing with the uber-conservative family that wants to know when we’re going to give them grandchildren. (… after it’s been told to them repeatedly that I have medical issues that would make it damn near impossible for me to conceive, let alone carry to term. 
)
I’ll leave you with the Morbid Question of the Day: Why is it called a family cookout if you can’t cook the family?

LOL Nonny! Good question. Cookie and I are hibernating too. He had to work today
But the history channel has had an all day Revolutionary War marathon and I’ve had it playing in the background-so I feel I am properly honoring our founding fathers. And I once again have a crush on Benjamin Franklin.

Happy 4th Nonny. We totally vegged out today. However, did go watch the annual fireworks display downtown and visited my parents.
