New Territory

OK…I have to admit it. I’m the “normal” one in the Novelty Girl’s bunch. (Close your mouth Crystal, a fly is going to end up in there if you don’t.) What I mean is, I write nice, sweet, okay yeah, it’s erotic romance, but I mean one boy, one girl sweet, erotic romance. I don’t do paranormal (vampires, dragons, shifters, demons, fairies, etc.) like the other ladies. BUT, Thursday, I started writing a menage. Gasp! Shock!

But I think it’s time to stretch my wings a little as a writer - trying something I’ve never done before. And, I must admit, it was fu-hun! I did the blurb first, just to make sure it sounded right and logical and then I wrote a little over a 1000 words on it that night - stayed up late too and was dog tired Friday when I got up, but it was fun getting into those characters minds. Next, I think I’ll try futuristic/sci-fi. I have this story brewing in the back of my mind for it as well.

Less than one week until my book(s) release. It’s been sooo long. I’m excited. Have a great weekend! :-)

Oh awesome Lyric!!!! I know that I’ve stepped into areas that I’d never thought about doing.
Erotic romance was a stretch for me I thought. But I loved writing it so much I got myself a pen name.
Fantasy wasn’t my cup of tea, I thought, until I wrote one and LOVED it.
Science Fiction? Nah! I can’t do that, right? Wrong.
I’ve decided that if the story is there, it doesn’t matter what “genre” it is. It’s the story that matters.
Way to stretch those writer wings.
