Well — this weekend I was supposed to be cleaning house. Now, when I’m done, I really don’t have a “clean” house. . .it’s only cleaner than it was!
Sometimes I feel like that when I get my edits back. I turned in what I thought was a clean document. . . and then it gets cleaner and cleaner. Thankfully, my editor is better at cleaning than I am. Thus, I’m really pleased with the outcome.
But, back to cleaning house. My best laid plans were thwarted first of all by a crying son last night with a 102 degree fever. Never a good sign on a Saturday night. You see, I sleep in on Saturday mornings and my hubby sleeps in on Sunday mornings. Luckily I was prepared. . .since my day started at 5:30 am. Yawn.
I got absolutely nothing done today on the house and very little done on my writing. . . it’s too hard with a two-year old sitting on my lap feeling lousy. My hubby finally took the boys for a ride in the car. . .just to get them out of the house so that I could get something accomplished today (I’m blogging and that counts, no matter what anyone else says).
Then, as I’m finding mood music and beginning to sing along, I realize that I have a sore throat and am losing my voice. . . looks like a good reason to put off cleaning house until NEXT weekend!
Hope y’all had a good one!

Aw sorry Ericka! Sick kids are hard to deal with, nothing ever seems to make them happy.
I cleaned house all day Saturday - and I do mean ALL DAY. Of course, I was too tired to write that night but at least my house was semi-clean. For a moment in time. Ahem.

What is this cleaning house thing?? Lol I just finished a novella so I may clean tonight, but I really don’t want to.

Oh Ericka - I totally understand what you’re talking about with the cleaning. Hate it! Hate! I actually instructed/taught my daughters how to clean their bathroom last Thursday. I figure after a couple more times - all I have to do is inspect. Can’t wait.
Hope you’re feeling better!
