OK…blame Dayna and Crystal for that. Their smutty Haiku and beverage poetry have gotten to me. I was trying to be clever…not sure it worked, I just ran out at the end. You can also blame the month of June - the most marrying month in the world. Somewhere right now, someone is saying “I do.”
I’m officially off from work - yesterday was my last day. Cleaning up after a year’s worth of dust and who knows what was not fun. But it was great to see it all fresh again waiting for me next year. Of course, I’m not really “gone-gone.” Summer school begins Monday - I’m going to teach the first term, so I’ll be around the place the for a couple of weeks before I jet off to Jamaica. The other thing I’m glad about is my writing schedule is going to change. Know that I am NOT a morning person. Never have been, never will be. I enjoy sleeping. I live for Saturday’s and Sunday’s so I can sleep in past the butt-crack ass of morning. Of course, with kids, that’s really never past nine o’clock, but it’s a whole lot better than five. However, this summer I’ve decided to not waist away those hours slumbering in my bed. I’m going to get up and use that time to write. The house will be quiet and peaceful. No, “Mom, can I…..,” No, Lyric can you…..or I need…..,” or diapers to change, bottles to warm, people to feed - well, you get the picture. Just me and my computer, a bowl of fruit and some water. I don’t drink coffee. (Sorry, Dayna. Your poem was lovely though. *smirk*) In those hours before my hubby goes to work and my kids wake up with their many wants and needs, I’m going to use them wisely. So - my something new will be a cozy mystery I’ve plotted. My something kinky will be a menage that just popped into my head this morning while I was taking a shower. Of course, it will all be written - well typed. I do not do pen and paper unless I really have to.
So, does your writing schedule change during the summer? Are you going to work on any new projects? Have a great weekend!

Its a little harder for me during summer. Every time I turn around someone has a BBQ or trip to the lake house planned-very hard to get out of all the obligations. Even though I have no desire to go prancing about in public in a bathing suit or eat brisket or bbq beans. {blech}. This Sunday it begins-giant party in my yard that I cant avoid.
You have a great weekend too!
I’m not a morning person either-but I may have to adjust my schedule.

Ideas for a menage in the shower? That is kinky. Did you have fun?
My writing schedule….that’s an oxymoron. LOL. My kids will be home all day all week now, so that means no quiet writing time. *sigh*
I’m having to become a morning person to write.
I have enough projects started. Now, I just have to finish them.

I am getting a babysitter a couple of days during the week so I can go to the library and write. . . another wahoo!

Sounds like you have a great plan, Lyric. I’ve actually been writing in the morning, which I have to say is just not right lol. I’m a night person damn it.
I just finished my second Rune for CP and my next project is a paranormal targeted at Har/Sil. I’d really like to get the first draft done by the time school starts.

R.G. - I know how you feel about that bathing suit….but I can’t wait to get to Jamaica just to relax and not having anything to “do” for seven whole days.
Jenn - I think I’ll keep my shower activities to myself. T.M.I. LOL And I know what you mean about the kids being home all day - that’s why I’m going to try and get it done BEFORE they wake up. Otherwise - I won’t get anything done.
Ericka - WTG on that babysitter. I love that word.
Lori -I’m usually a night person too…but since I convinced the hubby to go to day shift - he wants me to go to sleep the same time he does. Otherwise - I’d be up til 1 or 2 in the morning. Good luck on your writing!
