Who’s Ready for Dallas?

By Loribelle Hunt | April 12, 2007

Only 89 shopping days left!! All I’ve bought so far is shoes. See, I’m on a diet. Yes, again. Only this time it seems to be taking. *crosses fingers* Ten lbs down, twenty to go. Yikes. Good news is I may be able to wear my skinny jeans by July. Oh, to wear my skinny jeans again!

But for clothes? No clue. I really just want to wear jeans and nice tops and sandals. I’m not planning on pitching anyone so why not? But everyone keeps talking about business casual. Frankly this is getting on my nerves. This is my vacation darnit! I don’t want to have to dress up! Plus I just know I’ll have to buy clothes to go that route and there’s a pretty strict budget here. I’m lucky I’m getting to go at all.

*sigh* I’m starting to get the feeling I can’t win here. Come July I’m going to have to hope I can find some good sales. :(

How’s everyone else feel about this business casual thing? What are y’all wearing?

That’s because it’s not a vacation! It’s a business conference. *gg* Sorry to rain on your fwappety-fwap parade there. LOL

Lol Sela! For you maybe, but this is my break, business or not. ;) Hey! I said sandals not flip flops! I was considering your tender sensibilities. *g*

Lori I’m with you on the strict budget…and all I’ve bought is shoes too courtesy of Ebay *g* HOping like hell to drop another 15 and then all I have to do is buy a few pairs of khakis. It might be business casual but I”m still going for comfortable.

I’m big into Ebay and thrift shops and online clearance sections. You won’t believe the deals! I’ve found cheaper stuff in the Nordstrom sale section than on Old Navy. It’s a trip.

I did just get that sexy dress that I posted on my blog. :D

I keep looking at things I cannot possibly afford-and I havent bought a thing yet. I’m Miss Procrastination-I think I’m hoping I’ll miraculously drop 5 sizes and gain a few inches in height first. Sigh.

I think as long as it suits your style and how you present yourself, you should wear what you’re comfortable in.

Do have capri’s? I think capri’s and a nice shirt would be okay. I’m not saying “totally” NO to the jeans…..but khaki’s, capri’s, that sort of thing would work well with a nice blouse. :-)

Business casual is what I wear to work everyday, so I have the wardrobe already.
