That what you’ve written absolutely “sucks?” I had a moment like that this week. I wrote things that I realized made absolutely no sense, would have the reader asking, what the heck is wrong with this author, and possibly even chunking it (if it were in print mind you) across the room. But since they’d likely be sitting at a computer…instead, they’d hit the escape button quick. Yep…that was me this week. I’ve been working on a story that I really love the premise behind…but for some reason, just can’t seem to get to the part where I can say “The End.” Nope, can’t get there. And now I know why. The hero was falling for someone he shouldn’t have any business falling for. Aarrgghhh!
So, I have some extensive re-writing to do on this story to make it logical, believable, and readable to anyone else other than me. But I don’t mind. With the help of a writing buddy I figured out how to do it and make it “work.”
My question for you…do you ever write a character and then decide mid-way through that he or she should be falling in love and having hot monkey sex with someone else? It’s a first for me.
Well, I’m off to another daughter’s birthday party at the skating rink. And before you ask, nope…I will NOT be skating.
Hope you have a great Easter weekend.

Lyric YES. I had this happen in the second novella for HANDS ON. Not only did I have to find a new hero, I didn’t like the heroine! Quite the pickle
