Spring Has Sprung

By Loribelle Hunt | March 29, 2007

Well, at least here in southern Bama it has. This is my favorite time of year, when it’s still bearable and we can live outside for awhile. Everything is blooming. The kids are psyched about school getting out in a couple of months. Excitement and newness in the air and all that good stuff.

I’ve been trying to get some balance in my life and the change in season seems the time do it. For the last couple of years it’s been all about the writing for me. Don’t get me wrong. It’s been a blast and a lot of fun, but too much of a good thing is…too much. I’ve started walking every morning (not this morning ’cause I have a job interview in about an hour!) and trying to stay off the ‘net in the evening to hang out with the kids. The great thing about the walking is I’m losing weight! And hopefully by limiting my writing time some I’m recharging those batteries.

What about y’all? What do you do when it seems like things are just completely out of balance in your life?

Hmmm…I read. A lot. It takes my mind away somewhere else, then, when I’m about read out, I’m totally productive again.

As for the time of year change, I love it too. The weather outside is perfect for walking. I’ve walked every morning this week and it’s been great and losing weight too!
