By family…and books (I*ll get to that later), which has caused me to be a total slacker with my writing. And since I signed up to do NaNo…this is NOT a good thing. The first few days I was going strong, doing the required word count, plus a little more. But then, my husband*s sister came into town, then his mother, and oh well….there went the writing. At least every day, someone has been at my house, or I*ve had some event I*ve had to attend. Then this week, I*ve been preparing for the Scholastic Book Fair I have at my school every November - which means no writing at work either. Slacker. Slacker. That*s what I*ve been hearing in my head all this week.
I do love my husband*s family (especially his sister) and the invasion of middle school books, but it has thoroughly hampered my writing process this month. I want to say I can*t wait until the Thanksgiving holidays…but we*ll probably spend most of the weekend either visiting or being visited, but at least on these days I can stay up late after the house is quiet and get some writing done. Which is also why I love Saturday when it arrives. I know there is no possible way I can make up the + + thousands of words I didn*t type this week, but I can make a little progress.

I was doing great until Thursday. I’m not behind yet, but on the verge. It’s my daughters bday tomorrow, so it’s been like four days of different parties. ARGH! And I’m lacking sleep, so each time I try and write I’m too tired.
